Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Rose valley -Dades Valley

Your 6-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. From there, we travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with several stops to admire the breathtaking panoramic landscapes.

We then continue to the legendary Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its impressive fortified architecture. This historic kasbah has served as a filming location for many famous movies and TV series, including Gladiator, The Mummy, Alexander, and Game of Thrones.

After visiting the kasbah, we head to Ouarzazate, often called “The Gateway to the Desert,” where you will have free time for lunch. The journey then continues through the beautiful Rose Valley and the vast palm groves of Skoura before arriving in Boumalne Dades, where you will spend the night surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.

Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Jorf – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we travel through the beautiful Dades Valley and stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the impressive Dades Gorges. We then continue to the spectacular Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved a dramatic canyon with towering red cliffs, creating one of Morocco’s most stunning natural landscapes. You will have free time to walk through the gorges and enjoy the scenery.

The journey continues through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, with a stop for lunch along the way.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the magical Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Here, you will switch to camels and begin an unforgettable trek across the golden sand dunes. Along the way, we stop to admire the breathtaking sunset from the top of a high dune before continuing to your luxury desert camp.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by Berber drum music and dancing around the campfire under a sky full of stars. Overnight stay in the desert camp.

Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake

Waking up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise in the heart of the Sahara Desert is an unforgettable experience. After breakfast, you will return by camel to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting.

Today is dedicated to exploring the fascinating region of Merzouga, an area filled with remarkable natural and cultural attractions, including golden sand dunes, wild lakes, ancient mines, fossil sites, and beautiful oases — perfect for a variety of outdoor experiences.

Our journey begins with an off-road drive to visit an old eyeliner mine, once used for extracting traditional cosmetic minerals. We then visit local nomadic families in their handmade woven tents, where you will discover their unique way of life while enjoying a traditional Berber tea.

Next, we head to the village of Khamlia, famous for its vibrant Gnaoua music and dance performances. The village’s inhabitants originally come from sub-Saharan African countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger, giving the village its rich cultural heritage.

Free time will be provided for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing walk through the palm groves before driving a few kilometres to visit the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as Flamingo Lake.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at a comfortable hotel.

Merzouga – Nomads – Safsaf Desert Oasis – Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes – Merzouga

The next day of your 6-day desert tour begins at 8:00 AM after breakfast at your desert camp. You will journey across the fascinating Black Desert toward the peaceful SafSaf Oasis, with several stops along the way to admire the stunning panoramic landscapes.

During the trip, you will meet local nomadic families who care for their herds and experience their traditional way of life while sharing a cup of authentic Moroccan tea.

We then continue to the beautiful SafSaf Oasis, where you will enjoy lunch surrounded by a breathtaking desert landscape filled with palm trees and natural beauty. Before sunset, we return to Merzouga, passing through remarkable scenery where dunes, vegetation, rocks, and water create a striking contrast. The night will be spent in a comfortable hotel near the dunes.

Merzouga Dunes – Rissani Market – Middle Atlas

After breakfast in Merzouga, we leave the Sahara behind and head toward the traditional town of Rissani, known for its lively local market and its historical role as an important trading center in the desert region. You will have time to explore the authentic souk, where locals gather to trade spices, dates, handicrafts, and daily goods, offering a real glimpse into southern Moroccan culture.

We then continue our journey north through the stunning landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying changing scenery along the way with mountains, plateaus, and small Amazigh villages. Several stops will be made to relax and take in the panoramic views.

By evening, we arrive either in Midelt or the nearby rural area of Boulaajoul for overnight accommodation. Midelt offers comfortable hotels and convenient facilities, while Boulaajoul provides a quieter, more authentic countryside experience. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the selected accommodation.

Middle Atlas – Cedar Forests – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, we continue our journey through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying the peaceful landscapes and traditional Berber villages along the way. We pass through beautiful natural areas, including the famous cedar forests, where you may spot wild Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

We then stop in Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” for its clean streets, alpine-style architecture, and unique atmosphere. It is one of the most charming towns in Morocco and a perfect place for a short break and photos.

Afterward, we continue our drive toward Fes, one of the oldest and most culturally rich cities in the country. Upon arrival in the afternoon, we begin a guided sightseeing tour of Fes, where you will explore its ancient medina, historical landmarks, traditional souks, and vibrant artisan quarters.

This marks the end of your unforgettable desert journey, filled with diverse landscapes, culture, and authentic Moroccan experiences.
